The title comes from the opening line in a song 'Inbetweener' by the 90's britpop band Sleeper. It is about bordom, complacency and temptation in a relationship.
The couple in my painting have overcome this, they are older and have defeated the external turmoil. They have grown together, becoming one in their actions, looks and dress. They have developed a unity and are shopping for kicks together as one.
